    Independence Day is annually celebrated on 15th August, as a national holiday in Indiacommemorating the nation's independence from the United Kingdom on 15 August 1947, the UK Parliament passed the Indian Independence Act 1947 transferring legislative sovereignty to the Indian Constituent Assembly. India still retained King George VI as head of state until its transition to full republican constitution. India attained independence following the Independence Movement noted for largely nonviolent resistance and civil disobedience led by the Indian National Congress (INC). Independence coincided with the partition of India, in which the British India was divided along religious lines into the Dominions of India and Pakistan; the partition was accompanied by violent riots and mass casualties, and the displacement of nearly 15 million people due to religious violence. On 15 August 1947, the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru raised the Indian national flag above the Lahori Gate of the Red Fort in Delhi. On each subsequent Independence Day, the incumbent Prime Minister customarily raises the flag and gives an address to the nation.

Stay true to yourself.

So much unhappiness stems from making decisions that go against what you know in your core, your gut, to be right.

Deep down, you don’t want to do it — but you do it anyway. You listen to your head. You try to convince yourself the raise is worth it, or the risk is too great, or it’s better to just stay put, to keep your head down.

Staying true to yourself is a challenge, yes.

But effectively suppressing your true self is even more challenging

   

 Develop positive habits.

We as humans like to believe “happiness” is the destination wherein there is no more challenge.

Everything is easy.

In fact, it is quite the opposite. We love challenge. We thrive off challenge. We grow through challenge. We discover ourselves by being challenged. And it is not the thing itself, but your emotional state that decides whether or not that process of growing and being challenged is enjoyable, in the same way a workout can be enjoyable or grueling and painful (in the same way a workout to someone out of shape can be grueling and painful).

The simple act of developing positive habits in itself brings a deeply “earned” happiness.

We are happy because we have overcome ourselves.

      दो दोस्त, दोनों ही बुरी तरह से बीमार, एक ही अस्पताल के एक ही कमरे में थे। उनमे से एक दोस्त को पलंग पर बैठने की इज़ाज़त थी। इसीलिए वह पलंग पर बैठा था। पलंग कमरे में खिड़की के ही पास था। दुसरे दोस्त को उसीके पीछे निचे जमीन पर सारा समय बिताना पड़ता था। वे दोस्त घंटो तक बाते किया करते थे। वे उनकी पत्नियों, परिवार, घर, जॉब, के बारे में बाते किया करते थे।
       दोपहर में, जो दोस्त पलग पर बैठा होता था वह अपने साथी को इन सारी चीजो के बारे में धीरे-धीरे बताता था। जबकि दूसरी तरह जो दोस्त निचे होता था वह अपनी आँखे बंद कर के इन सभी चीजो की कल्पना करता था। अपनी अपने ही मन से दृश्य निर्माण करता था। दूसरें दोस्त को एक घंटे के लिए ऐसा लगता था जैसे वह अपनी जिंदगी जी रहा हो। वो उसी एक घंटे में बाहरी रंगीन दुनिया के नज़रो को देखता था।
        खिड़की के बाहर ही एक पार्क था जहा एक सुन्दर सा तालाब (सरोवर) था। उस तालाब में बदक और हंस खेलते थे जबकि छोटे-छोटे बच्चे नाव बनाकर उस तालाब में छोड़ते थे। जबकि युवा लड़के-लडकिया कंधे से कंधा मिलकर प्यार भरी बाते किया करते और इंद्रधनुष के रंगों को निहारते थे। वही मैदान के पेड़ पूरी जमीन पर फैले हुए थे जो दिखने में बहोत ही सुंदर लगते थे।एक दोपहर, खिडके के बाहर देख रहे दोस्त ने बताया की वहा से कोई परेड गुजर रही है। जबकि दुसरे दोस्त को भी बैंड की आवाज़ सुनाई दे रही थी। दूसरा दोस्त अपनी आखे बंद करते हुए ही उस परेड की कल्पना कर रहा था और दिमाग में ही एक दृश्य बना रहा था। इसी तरह कई दिन, और महीने बीतते गये।

एक सुबह, एक दिन नर्स उनके नहाने के लिए गर्म पानी लेके आयी और उसने पाया की उनमे से एक जो खिड़की के पास था वह नींद में ही सोते हुए मर चूका था। ये सब देखकर वह नर्स बहुत दुखी हुई और उसने अस्पताल के कर्मचारियों को लाश को ले जाने के लिए कहा। ऐसा लग रहा था जैसे दूसरा दोस्त खिडके के पास बैठना चाहता हो।नर्स ये देखकर खुश हुई, नर्स ने आसानी से उस दुसरे आदमी को खिड़की के पास बिठाया, और उसे अकेला छोड़ दिया। धीरे से उसने अपने आप को खिडके के तरफ धकेलने की कोशिश की ताकि वह रंगीन दुनिया की एक झलक देख सके। वह अपने पलंग के पीछे की खिड़की को धुंडने लगा था। जिसके बाहर देखकर उसका सहकर्मी उसे रोज़ नयी नयी चीजो के बारे में बताया करता था।

जैसे ही वह पलंग के पीछे के तरफ मुड़ा उसे सिर्फ के खली दीवार ही दिखाई दी। उस दुसरे आदमी ने नर्स से खिड़की के बारे में पूछा जिस से रोज़ उसका सहकर्मी बाहर देखा करता था। उस नर्स ने जवाब दिया की वह तो कोई खडकी थी ही नहीं। “फिर भी वो तुम्हारी हिम्मत बढ़ाते रहा। ताकि तुम जिंदगी से हार न मानो”

         याद रखिये, आज कभी वापिस नही आएगा। हमेशा एक दोस्त बनकर रहे। लोगो को उत्साहित करते रहे। अपनों की रक्षा करे। कोशिश करे की आपके शब्दों से कोई मायूस ना हो।

         आखिर किसी शायर ने क्या खूब कहा है:

 “किसी को प्रेरित करना उसे जीवनदान देने की बराबर है, लेकिन किसी को निराश करना किसी की हत्या करने के बराबर है।”
