Nuakhai Bhethgat started with few enthusiasts belongs to Western part of Odisha dreamed about a family in reformed environs to cherish theier inner-worth memories which comprehends their tradition, their culture and the essence of their home land. It is then when these families of western odisha decided to light up the soul of NUAKHAI TIHAR (festival) to R.S.V.P_TIRUPATI and came together to create a kutumb ( Family ) to rejoice as ” Nuakhai Bhetghat ” in an UNIVERSITY AUDITORIUM at TIRUPATI in the year of 2010. Since then the charm and virtue of Nuakhai Bhetghat continued its lionized era enchanting the rhythm of simple but rich Odia culture from TIRUPATI. The seed has become a tree now with many new flowers and leafs every year to strengthen its foot-hold.
Many Western Odisha (koshal) based odia and other community families come together under one roof not only to celebrate the occasion but also to witness the rich cultural music and scrumptious homely food. Food delicacies includes letha, ghanta, khiri, puri, snacks like chaul bara and many more pure. Special homely sweets like arsa pitha and kakra pitha prepared by odia mothers and sisters force all to go back to their memory lane.
